National Democrats are preparing to counter Texas Republicans’ possible mid-decade redistricting effort, which White House officials requested.
The largest super PAC backing House Democrats, the House Majority PAC, is creating a new fund with $20 million to target Texas’s House Republicans if state lawmakers pursue their plan to redistrict. The Texas legislature is in a special session, called by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), to address many issues, including possibly redrawing the district maps.
